Fiesta Latina!!

-In 2014, October 23rd, Thursday night from 8pm-11pm we had great night at Avila university. The process and organization was long and hard, but it was all worth it for this fantastic night. A night full of Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue music that if you have listened/danced to you know is true joy, if you have not, be ready for the next party and do not miss out. It was a total success. We had approximately around 30-50 students, faculty, staff, and friends show up and DJ Alberto did a great job mixing the music (he plays at Latin music on Saturday nights at Chesterfield). We also had Whitney Shae as the dancing teacher and all of our international students and many other people joined and learned how to dance in just one hour! (See below). If this is not enough to catch your attention, we also catered Spanish (Spain) food from La bodega. Another success (just a few left overs).

-It was truly an awesome experience to have such a fun event at Avila University. First dance party celebrated at the school by the way! Thank you SOL (Society of Latinos), Ken Parsons & Luis de Mesa Galindo (Global Studies & Social Justice center), DJ Alberto, Whitney Shae, Kate Austin, and many others that helped with the organization. Anyways, I hope you can make it out next time! you WILL have a lot of fun.
